Kelsey McKeelKelsey began her stage career with ballet lessons at age 4. She has since continued studying dance intensively for 17 years, including 8 years on pointe; she also has experience in modern, jazz, tap, and ballroom. Kelsey made her theatre debut when she was in fourth grade, appearing on stage for ten seconds as a dying bluebird. However, her interest in theatre did not blossom until she received the role of the White Witch in Legacy Production’s the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe in 2005. Her passion for theatre grew exponentially. She pursued theatre with enthusiasm and delight, and her repertoire includes many of Legacy’s past shows, as well as many productions at her alma mater, Bryan College (Dayton, TN).

She has also performed in four musical productions at Bryan College (Scrooge, the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Curtains, and opera Street Scene) with 2 leading roles, and has directed, produced, choreographed, danced, and sung in her Senior Musical Theatre Showcase at Bryan. She has also worked backstage for several shows (including the Crucible, Steel Magnolias, and Man of La Mancha at Bryan College) and has written and co-directed several other projects. Besides Impact Theatre Company, this summer Kelsey will be working her other business as an Independent Damsel Pro with Damsel In Defense, and taking care of her precious daughter Chloe, who will be visiting camp this year as well!
Since 2006, Kelsey has directed and choreographed 17 shows with Legacy Productions, and has choreographed dance numbers for four additional Legacy productions for a total of 11 seasons working with Legacy. She is thrilled to continue to pursue her theatrical passion now through Impact Theatrical Company, having directed 4 shows since its inception. She has also directed two plays for Clearview Church (2018, 2019).
Kelsey has graduated from Bryan College with a BS in Musical Theatre and a minor in Biblical Studies. Outside of theatre, she enjoys worshiping God through dancing, singing, and motherhood. She is so thankful for her opportunity to found Impact Theatre Company and to work with her fellow directors this summer, and to pass on her love for theatre to the next generation.
