Never been to an Impact summer camp? You are in for an amazing week! Founded in 2017, Impact Theatre Company is a week-long theatre acting camp for children and teens ages 9-18. During this week, we produce a full-length play from beginning to end, with rehearsals spanning Monday through Friday, and a performance Friday evening. In only one week, our actors audition for parts, memorize lines, create a costume, and become a character. We also offer a Tech Team camp track, in which teen campers learn how to create a prop list, manage a prop table backstage, build set pieces, and learn to use sound and light boards, all of which happens during our regular weeks of camp. These two unique camp experiences merge beautifully in a masterful student production that is fun for audiences and actors alike.
In addition to our two full-time directors, our camps will also feature an additional Assistant Director who will facilitate off-stage games, assist with line-memorization, and help provide excellent oversight for your children throughout the week!

What a day at Impact looks like:
After checking in with a member of our fabulous Tech Team, we will start the morning with some acting/improv games to warm you up vocally and mentally. Then rehearsal for the show begins! During our lunch break around noon we often will enjoy conversation, play a camp-wide game of Mafia, or head outside to enjoy the weather and a breath of fresh air. The afternoon is spent in rehearsal before a 4:00pm dismissal.
A Typical Week's Schedule:
Saturday - Auditions - Cast list announced that afternoon via email
Monday - Begin Blocking
Tuesday - Actors are Off-Book (have lines memorized) - May call for lines. Finish blocking if necessary.
Wednesday - All actors are Off-Book. (No calling for lines.)
Thursday - Character Development and Acting Coaching
Friday - Dress Rehearsals (day) and Performance (7pm)
**Please note that the performance has a $5 suggested donation per ticket in order to fund our Camp Scholarship Program.**
